Bernard Bempah visits America

Mushrooms in Ghana Project brought Bernard Bempah and a colleague to the US to expand their knowledge and skills in growing oyster and shiitake mushrooms. We visited 10 small farms and commercial production units in four US states. Bernard and Sandra continued to New York, where they presented a program at the United Nations Commission for Sustainable Agriculture, showing how mushroom production has proven to be a successful tool for economic development in Ghana.
